I can only tell the truth
In these words I write
Lying isn't even an option
When it comes to this

I'm not the type of girl
Who lies constantly
Just so people can hear what they want
Even if it isn't true

I'm the type of girl
Who tells it how it is
I may not always keep it nice
But sometimes the truth hurts

I can't lie about my feelings
When they come out through this pen
Because they're flowing from inside
Without any sort of control

I'm not the type of girl
Who writes from everyone else
Who isn't original in thought
Because individuality is key

I'm the type of girl
Who writes from deep within
Allowing the emotional influence
Because what surrounds me is inspiring

So in my words lie the truth
This is the key to my life
My thoughts and feelings
Because it's the only way I can convey them

I won't ever write a lie
Because it just wouldn't be real then
So herein lies all the truths
And be prepared to feel what's real
