The subject of love
Is beginning to wear
On my pained heart
And wanting mind
But I’ve been so fascinated
By love
That it’s hard to let go
Love poems
Are beginning to get overrated
In my writing
And reading
But that’s all I write
Because my heart bleeds
For such a feeling
Love stories
Are hurting me
More and more now
But I can’t seem to let go
Because I still dream
That one day
I’ll have my own
Ah, the subject of love
It’s so fascinating
Yet so painful
So why return to it?
Maybe because love
Makes life worthwhile
It gives us something to look forward to
It gives us hope
